Sanriku Railway 1-Way Stopover Ticket
A passenger ticket which is the same price as a regular ticket but allows for a stopover.

■ Details
Passenger aren't allowed to disembark between routes with a regular 1-way passenger ticket. A new ticket must be purchased once a passenger disembarks and wishes to travel to the next station.
For example, if a passenger on a Miyako → Kuji route disembarks mid-trip at Tanohata station, a new ticket must be purchased if the passenger wishes to continue travelling to Kuji via Sanriku Railway. This special tiket will allow passengers to disembark mid-trip without the need to purchase another ticket.

■ Advantages
1. The passenger will avoid the hassale of purchasing another ticket when they disembark mid-trip.
2. Although the price of the ticket is the same as a regular ticket, the passenger will be able to save money instead of having to purchase a new ticket.
Example: The special ticket price of a Miyako - Kuji trip is 1,850 yen.
Compared to a 1,980 yen trip when a passenger disembarks at Tanohata from Miyako (990yen) and purchese another ticket to Kuji (990yen), it is 130yen cheaper.

Miyako Station - Miyako to Kuji: 1,850 yen (Child: 930 yen)
Kuji Station - Kuji to Miyako: 1,850 yen (Child: 930 yen)
Kamaishi Station - Kamaishi to Sakari: 1,080 yen (Child: 540 yen)
Sakari Station - Sakari to Kamaishi: 1,080 yen (Child: 540 yen)
The ticket is valid only for the day indicated on the ticket itself.
* Caution: This is a special passenger ticket and is not applicable with other discounts. It also may not be used for a return trip in the opposite direction.

With a 1-way passenger ticket within the Sanriku Railway system, once the passenger disembarks partway through the trip, the remaining portion of the ticket becomes void. Every time the passenger wishes to travel to the next station they wish to disembark at, they must purchase another ticket.
A passenger travelling from Miyako to Kuji who intends to disembark partway through the trip at Tanohata would have to purchase a ticket from Miyako to Tanohata and another ticket from Tanohata to Kuji. The Stopover Ticket is a special ticket that would allow them to disembark partway through the trip without having to buy another ticket.

■ Advantages
1. Since the passenger can disembark partway through their trip, they do not have to go through the bother of purchasing another ticket each time.
2. The price of the ticket is the same as a regular ticket, but it carries the benefit of not requiring the passenger to purchase another ticket when they disembark partway through their trip.
Example: The price of a ticket from Miyako to Kuji is 1,850 yen. When disembarking partway along at Tanohata and then continuing to Kuji, the passenger would be required to purchase one ticket from Miyako to Tanohata, 990 yen, and then another ticket from Tanohata to Kuji, 990 yen, for a total cost of 1,980 yen. Using the 1-Way Stopover Ticket being sold now, the passenger would save 130 yen.
